By the numbers …

With the first phase of our Art for Everyone project over, we thought you might be interested in some numbers that reflect the level of interest in the project.

  • Entries: 2,638 images were hashtagged #artinstaky for entry into the project
  • Shortlist: 654 images were shortlisted by our curators
  • Exhibition: 408 images were selected for exhibition

The 408 images included in the exhibition were submitted by 46 photographers from Kyabram, Lancaster, Cooma, Stanhope, Mooroopna, Shepparton, Kialla, Rochester, Goornong, Huntly, Echuca, Talgarno, Mansfield, Warrnambool, Melbourne, Sydney and Mandurah in WA.

We ran 5 photography workshops in Kyabram, Rochester and Echuca. These were facilitated by professional photographers from Dookie, Shepparton and Melbourne. And one of our curators ran a couple of Instagram workshops for those who needed an introduction to the platform. 63 people attended these sessions.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the support of our 12 sponsors. Thank you all!

And now we’d like to see you all at the official opening. 6pm on Saturday 10 February at Kyabram Town Hall.  You’re all most welcome.

Submissions now closed

We want to say a huge thank-you to everyone who participated in Art for Everyone,  posting and tagging photos on Instagram.

Over the next few days we’ll finalise our selection of images for the exhibition.  Once we’ve done that, we’ll release the catalogue so you can see if any of your images will be in the show.

The official opening will be Saturday 10 February at 6pm at Kyabram Town Hall. Keep the date free!
